Case Study - Shelley House Trusol

Trusol and Electracom Projects have successfully designed, installed and commissioned the Converged Network including the IP video surveillance system across the 11 open-plan office floors, 2 basement levels and roof terrace of the 110,000 sq ft refurbished tower block near the City of London Museum.

The converged network solution was vital in ensuring this refurbishment project offered its new owner a smart ready facility with a unified landlord network to support the various building systems such as security, BEMS, lighting control, elevator control, Wi-Fi, IoT devices and general landlord data.

The project completed in 2021, offers a resilient 10 Gigabit fibre optic backbone infrastructure with category 6 cabling from Excel for just over 450 connected devices. An Aruba active hardware solution of core switches, access switches and wireless access points is backed up by a UPS system at the core and edge of the network that uses the APC product set from Schneider Electrics.
