Wireless Network Solutions
Trusol have been working with schools and developing wireless solutions which best meet their needs for over 6 years.
In that time, wireless technology has improved drastically, along with the security associated with it.
However, in most cases, wireless technologies do still have limitations over cabled networks and regardless of how much money and time is spent monitoring, surveying & evaluating workspace environments, it is very difficult to provide a guaranteed level of sustained performance from any given wireless solution.
It is fair to say that the new managed wireless products come as close as possible to delivering a sustainable wireless network within the school environment which is easily scalable and will support high numbers of simultaneous wireless users at any one time in a single area of the school. This product is available through Trusol as an outright purchased system or through our sister company Simpli-Fi Limited as a 3 year managed wireless Service Level Agreement. See www.simpli-fi.co.uk for more information on the managed wireless Service Level Agreement offer.
Trusol offers three services and three distinct product solutions to schools who are looking to deploy wireless networking.
The three services are:
Wireless Surveys
Where a Trusol wireless specialist will visit your school and conduct a detailed survey of your school premises, measuring wireless signal penetration and the quality of wireless signalling within all the areas of the school. A piece of software called AirMagnet will capture all this information and will provide an RF (Radio Frequency) map of the wireless signal strengths in your school, based on the results of the site survey.

Wireless Network Designs and Proposals
Based on the results of a site survey, your present and future wireless requirements, Trusol will provide a wireless proposal to your school which will provide you with the results you desire at a cost which is attractive.
Wireless Installations
Trusol have highly experienced network engineers who can provide the cabling infrastructure to support Wireless Access Points, as well as the installation and configuration of Access Points or Management Controllers.
Trusol has three wireless product sets which it regularly installs into school environments, depending on their requirements. More information on each of the wireless product sets can be viewed in the “Products” section of this website or by selecting one of the three icons on the right of this page. These three product sets are:
Aruba Managed Wireless Solutions
Trusol have been working with Aruba since 2007 and have now installed managed wireless networks into 10 London schools. These schools are able to rely on their wireless network completely and have every faith that however many users attempt to log on to the network wirelessly, that the system will remain stable and accept them as a client. In one case, a secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham regularly uses in excess of 120 wireless devices in a single lesson period without any problems or complaints.

The Mobile Wireless Classroom Solution
Trusol have exclusively developed a light weight carry case, which can be carried into any given classroom (as long as the classroom has at least one network socket -Cat 5 or Cat 6) and will function to support up to 45 wireless users in that room. This solution is very cost effective, works brilliantly in schools where general blanket wireless coverage is not required and is ideal for schools who use laptop trolley systems to manoeuvre devices to various areas of the school throughout the course of the week.

Unmanaged “Blanket Cover” wireless solutions
Trusol continues to deploy unmanaged wireless access points throughout school buildings to allow blanket coverage for the purpose of staff use and electronic registration. These access points are located in specific areas of the school once a site survey has been conducted, to ensure that wireless coverage is available in all the required areas of the school buildings and playgrounds. However, this particular system is less suitable for situations where any more that 8-10 students need to log onto the wireless network from any given area at the same time and is not so accommodating to system enhancements.
